In the sequel of Rail Technology Conferences, 2012 will mark the 4th edition of these conferences dealing with technological rail subjects. It will be held on 24 and 25 April 2012 inAmstelveen, The Netherlands.

Since the first edition of Rail Technology Conferences in 2006 this bi-annual event has historically been a 2-day conference focussing on two different but interrelated themes; one on each day. Also a trade show on rail technology has always been part of this international event.

The 2012 edition will focus on:

• Life Cycle Management (24 April)
• High Frequency Operations (25 April)

Previous editions highlighted challenging maintenance concepts and regional rail systems & new technology (both in 2006), switches and wheel rail interface (in 2008) and again wheel rail interface and noise & vibrations (in 2010).
